Horrendous! Hard to believe something like this could be allowed to get to this stage. I believe the RSPCA had been made aware of the situation by members of the public some time ago.

So why wasn't something done earlier I wonder?

Why didn't this group take immediate action earlier? It takes a very, very long time for horses to die of starvation. The madding thing, is that this group WAS aware of the situation, and did not take action until so many were dead and piled against a fenceline. That's just wrong.

I agree its horrendous!!! Truely dreadful. I once tried to report neglected ponies to the RSPCA and they wouldn't do anything. I can only assume the farm was isolated and not easily seen by the public.

This is just awful and makes me want to cry, that there are people still in this day and age can do something like this and get away with it for so long. I am really sorry to say this, but it was said he had them for meat, not sure how they thought he would get money for skinny horses like that. What makes me worry is that some of them looked like they could have been some nices horses, and where did they come from? I do worry if that they could have been stolen horses in the first place, sorry, sometimes i do have an over active mind. I am sending lots of healing vibes for all the horses and donkeys rescued.

I'm shocked! And I too would want to know why the RSPCA didn't do anything when they investigated the owners - especially if the horses had been neglected for some time...... I've tried to report animal neglect to the RSPCA before and got quite a rude response and no follow-up. I don't donate to them any more.
