We can't match your lovely snowy winter pictures. Here's the day before Christmas. Pouring rain & where's Knight? Outside at the hay feeder of course.

LOL...Knight's saying "I got the whole thing to myself!!!" He sure doesn't look one bit bothered by the rain. And that is one neat hay feeder!!! Its not at all like I'd imagined it, its a much better design. I bet its more than paid for itself already.

Well they'd better be really good pones & not expect another thing bacause the hay feeder was their Christmas present. They won't be getting another present for awhile, thank goodness some tack sold so I could pay for it. Somehow the catalog picture looked about the size of a muck bucket. But as you can see it's a Dales sized feeder & Knight's in heaven that there's all that hay and it's DRY! He does share & Topaz really can get her head into it, but she finds it easier to eat out of the holes in the sides like a haynet.
It's a gate manufacturing company that just started making them & I really like it, so I bet the design will catch on. And it's not too heavy, so I can move it by myself, just roll it to a new spot. Best though is that they can't waste as much hay. Topaz is just awful. It used to go from food to bedding in the blink of an eye cause she would poo in the hay on the ground. Not to mention the nasty, mouldy hay mess to clean up before it killed the grass.

Lovely pic, I wish we had hay in our mud fields, one of those would be fantastic! Is it made from rubber Nancy?

Knight does always ask for more!
I remind him how spoiled he is Bev, but it's kind of for me too. The more time he's in the field the easier the barn is to clean. The frame is metal but the basket is a plastic sort of stuff. With drain holes in the bottomm thank goodness, so even after rain it's not a huge mess.

Knight is looking fab Nancy! What a brilliant hay feeder, wish they would do something like that over here (but I bet if they did we'd be paying a darn sight more than you ).

What a lovely photo! Knight is looking just great. I wish our fields were as dry as yours - we have a sea of mud right now.
That hay feeder is brilliant! Very well designed - just the job for our Dales ponies. I wonder if we could get some one to make something similar over here?

Thanks Nancy. I've had a look and contacted the company to see whether they have a UK agent selling these feeders. They are the first safe looking feeder I've seen!
