Well, like all of you we are swimming in mud up on the farm. Both Mags and Sparky's legs are very, very muddy. So we decided to wash their legs tonight and then plaster on the pig oil in the morning when their legs are dry, before turning them out. Well Sparky will not have a cold hose near him, but he loves the pressurer washer (pressurer turned down, and temperature warm). Anyhow, i have to admit i love being able to wash him the pressure washer, so i thought we better let Mags get use to it, and to be fair, most horses jump a little the first few times, just with the noise etc. We wasn't really expecting to wash Mags with the pressurer washer, the objective, was to watch Sparky and get use to it. Well she had all four legs washed with the pressurer washer, she didn't even step forward or seemed shocked. She acted like it was something she has done on a daily basis. What a little star she is and not bad for a 9 1/2 month old Highland

What a star! I remember watching show cattle being washed with a power washer and they seemed happy with it.

Well done Mags! Great that you can get her used to things like this from the start.
Ali hosed Harvey's legs down today before riding out - we have a sea of liquid mud here. I think that was partly why he was was a bit of a tinker today - he probalby convinced himself he going to a competition as he was clean for a change.
Also yesterday, because I was in a stress over going away for a day, Harvey sensed my nerves and got diahrroea - he really is a sensitve chap. Mags is going to be used to all sorts of things so I bet he won't have problems like this.
