Blossom's turned into a thug this week! Earlier this week she tried kicking at me when my back was turned, and another set of feet whistling past my left ear with me facing her. Things did not go as she planned past that stage. She's had a lot of 'my bucket, move!', my water ~ move!, And I just feel like it ~ move! Today I arrived with tea to find she'd been pawing at the gate, and really did a number on the woven fence What a thug! This after a morning's session where she felt like she didn't have to back so her morning bucket went sailing over the fence. LOL, that definitely didn't go as she'd planned! Today we played 'over the pole' one foot, two foot, then leading from the righthand side....which she did not like by the way. Tonight is was play with the bright cone, on the pony, off the pony, on the pony, off the pony. Then I brought out two poles for her to walk over. LOL, she finally blew her mind. The brain was full up, she looked completely tired, and now she's mulling the whole thing over munching on her evening hay. A tired pony is a good pony.

Kids will be kids, eh? But I have to admit, the feet whistling past the ear made me get on the phone with Heather. Many thanks Heather!!! Sometimes just being able to chat with someone makes it all that much easier to tackle what's going on. And yes, its just Blossom entering a normal teen stage. All in all she's a fairly good girl...which is what makes the kick past the ear totally unacceptable.

Mmmm, what's got into with all these ponies lately? Glad she's seen the error of her ways! You are right, a tired pony is a good and content pony.

Yes, I foresee lots of Blossom being tired in the near future. We've had a strange warming trend yet again. Up to the 60s and all the animals think its spring. I've seen skunks and the birds were trying to warble their springtime calls yesterday. They'd best stuff it because we go up to 64*F today, and plunge right back down to 16* tomorrow.

There must be something in the water turning them all into teens, i suppose in these situations the phrase ' if you dont laugh you would cry' fits the bill perfectly!

Harls did that to me as a 3 year old - ran past me then did a massive buck and kick out.... I felt the back foot move my hair!! Luckily that's all it was but it was a wake-up call for me.

LOL....she's still half trying it, but checking to see my reactions first. Silly goose! LOL...Anne, that's what Blossom was trying to tell me after she'd goofed and realized my reaction. But honest Mum!! Actually it was pure shock when she realized how badly she'd messed up as the morning bucket went sailing. I wish I'd had a camera for that .....her expression was priceless. She knew she'd gone waaaay too far at that point. I'm pleased to note the monkey got both of her buckets today with no fuss, just the funny looks, and the half tipped ears of "do I try it? Is she looking?? Hmmm...maybe not" ;D
