A long, long time ago (sometime before the Boer War.....) I used to come on this board quite a lot. Sitting at home and nursing the lurgy I thought I'd come and take a look and log in (unsporting to lurk). There are lots of people I still recognise and all the ponies looking LOVELY - particular fan of Danny who is so like the Piper but Duke looks smashing too!
Piper is well, still living in Surrey, proud owner of a new dressage saddle, fit as a flea and generally on good form. He fluctuates as only a pony can do between being a little angel in the school and a total delinquent at other times (trying to break into a gallop on the tarmac then taking the common flat out). He has a second human in his life these days (Patrick) and after a summer of optimum human situation (Patrick was good at sucking up to him - lots of carrots and pears) with one on the ground, one on top and some very leisurely hacking he's disappointed that the boy has gone off to on ops for six months, he's an army boy. It was all very funny just how taken they were with each other. However, he is taking the whole, lets get schooling again very well - aw, anything for attention! Although apparentley I don't do so well at the turning up randomly to feed him and scratch his neck and withers and then leave requiring nothing in return........
Still no competing, we just school away, doing our bits and bobs and working through our limitations and round the rather explosive personality!
I'm trying to think if I have any good photos of him being ridden at the mo but I don't think I do - a friend of mine came and took some of him for some plot of his own but I've not seen them - perhaps I will chase!
Anyway, perhaps will now manage to come back a little more - I've just got broadband...........yes, I'm a luddite, I know.
