With bulldog determination, Dover Saddlery managed to deliver Blossom's Hug Neck Cover ~ in large. And I'm so very glad they perservered, as we had yet another lovely rain/sleet/snow storm yesterday. Two thumbs WAY up for their customer service. Blossom in her new jimjams.... and sorry about the naff pics, I was in a hurry, so they're a bit blurry. The blanket itself is a touch large, as I thought it may help for her to 'grow into it'. I've actually altered the chest straps, and brought them up quite a ways. There is still a gap at the chest and neck, but not nearly as large as what's in the pic. The blanket has moved and settled overnight, so its not that big of a gap this morning. Ironically, this IS the largest neck cover they make. So I can foresee 'custom made' in Blossom's nearby future for neck covers. She's barely in their large even now. Good thing I can alter it a bit. I think the next dry spell we get, I'll be doing some alteration on the neck cover. But for now it's keeping her toasty warm. And the photos are mostly to prove that the blanket was once that colour ;D

It was worth the wait and all the hassle then. It looks just right on Blossom - now you need some bad weather to test it. ;D

She looks fab debbie! I am altering all my rugs and neck pieces this week - I have bought heavy duty press studs to fit to the neck pieces and rugs, so they should all fit each rug and hopefully should stop them blowing up in the wind! As long as I put the press stud in the right place!!

LOL....just as well I had the pics to prove it! I looked out at around 10am this morning to see Blossom pawing her blanket into a huge mudpuddle! I threw my boots on and ran out as fast as I could, but it was no use. She'd thoroughly muddied it inside and out. I had to drag the poor thing into the dry room to get it dried back out. She's gone naked this afternoon, and is now bundled back into her heavyweight handme down. I think the wind got under and lifted it clear off like what we had last year. That or the buckle came undone. Shame they don't have the heavy duty plastic buckles like they used to. The metal ones are fiddly and come undone so easily. Oh well, once the poor thing's dried back out, I'll drag it up to the Bear Room and alter the neck. We don't 'do' fiddley and the neck cover is very fiddly to do up. I don't feel like fumbling around with it in the cold with frozen fingers. So I'll alter the design

LOL... it was! I've been outside doing the 'steam clean' method I recommended for Jack....only all over Blossom's new rug and neck cover. She managed to get mud and hay over every single square inch! To be fair, I saw one of the buckles had come undone, and I think the wind lifted it off. Hard to say if she was pawing at it for the fun of pawing it into the mud, or the hopes that it would fly back onto her. Could go either way with that little girl
