It'll be a wonderful day when you can ride her again. It sounds like she's enjoying coming back into work..... Looking forward to the pics.

Good thanks, it's just been so hot I felt mean making her do any work, so we have just been doing really quiet stops and starts in walk, to get her a bit sharper on the uptake! I am trying to get her to respond straight away to walk on, whoa and stand without having to chase up with the whip. I think it will be an advantage when I get on her (prob this weekend) if she will take voice commands as well. might be able to get OH up the yard later to take some pics. If so i'll put them on later. Jo x

I'm not quite sure what happened to make her so shiny! guess she is just feeling well. Her saddle is a Native Pony Saddle Company, model Glen. I love it! We have got ridden pictures on the phone, just need to figure out how to transfer them........ She was so good, I am getting on again tonight! Really exciting!!!!! Jo x

thats great jo.. she does look lovely..
how long do you think i should wait to get on dan? iv been lunging him just in walk and a little trot. although last night we went round and round at 100 mile an hour lol. he doesnt half pic his feet up in those shoes lol. im also worried about riding him in those shoes as they have no grip!!

hI Rowena, If Dan is 100 per cent in trot I would start riding him gently. Personally I have found no problems with grip with the heartbars but I don't do hardly any road riding so i can't vouch for that. I was advised to keep to a walk on good ground and gradually work up and assessing how she is following each period of exercise. I'm lucky that I have a school to use. As I had probs with Holly rearing and bucking I am starting her again in the school so only 5 mins ridden at a time, but Dan wasn't so severe and hasn't had so long off to lose muscle and fitness. If he'll go for a quiet hack pref offroad I would think he will be fine! Jo x
