Do ya'll (can't tell I am from the south can ya? ) show western? My OH is working on my chaps for me. They are sand color and he is adding a Celtic knot work burn on the side with the fringe. He already added an extender for the back. I tried them on yesterday to make sure that they were still fitting me as I have gained weight. They look beautiful! However, the show pants that I wear under them....the button FLEW off. My OH just smiled. At least I didn't take anyone's eye out! ;D

I will show just in western pleasure. Don't show halter. (Can't stand still long enough.) I have the camera ready to go. I promise to take pictures!

Looking forward to seeing your chaps. I'm hoping to get a pair fitted when I'm in Colorado this year as I think the choice will be better than over here. I'm hoping to get kitted out fo rthe last couple of western shows this season. My 4 yr old is being trained for Wetern Pleasure and Hunter under Saddle.
I'm not sure whether to get sand or black chaps.

What fun for both of you!! Jacqui if you're undecided on the chaps, what colour is the saddle you're planning for her? That way you can better match...ie lighter coloured chaps for a lighter coloured saddle. Also remember that the lighter coloured chaps will show off if you're leg position is not the strongest. (I sincerely doubt that will be a problem here!!!) but just wanted to mention it since you're new to the western riding. LOL....of course after your Colorado trip, you should feel practically born to ride western

They are great pics.
My husband prefers a western saddle but we don't know much about riding in one! He likes it because he can lean on the horn LOL. Lazy boy

They are great pics. I am seeing a time when daughter won't have time for Sooty so I'm thinking of a project for me. After a visit to a western tack shop I've been contemplating learning.

Lovely, lovely chaps. I'm a bit biased, but I've always loved that sandy/buckskin colour. Your OH has done a brilliant job with them I wouldn't know where to start... Justjordie, give it a go!!! I think you'd love the western way of riding (less is more ) I think Jacqui was planning a western clinic not too far out. Maybe you could go there, and see what its like? LOL, Harleydales, your OH is in good company. Many's the time I've been hours in the saddle and have loved leaning on the horn too.
