Nancy is now well on the mend from her foot op (quick reminder she had and absess cut out and half her hoof removed), and the vets given us the all clear for her to start being ridden once she has her special shoes fitted with padding etc to balence the hoof, because it is still not grown back fully. she hasn't been ridden since early november and was on box rest for 6 months, and has been turned out at night for a couple of months. Am considering getting her checked out by the physio, just to check if there are any particular muscles which are weaker and we need to take care with, she has lost a considerable amount of muscle tone. what do you guys think?

I think I would - thats a long time to be doing nothing. The physio would be able to give you special exercises to build up the muscles that need at most as well as checking her over and dealing with any weak points.

I think you are doing the right thing - getting her checked out. I have got Jill Firth coming out to D on Friday - just to check him over really.
Piece of mind is a priceless!!!
