Tina, does Charity have Nav SYNDROME or DISEASE? ie, is it breakdwon/changes to the nav bone .....or........ caudal heel pain in the nav bone area? Milo has Nav SYNDROME - no changes to the bone. He is almost sound in Cytek shoes (he has flat thin soled TB feet) and can jump, school and XC. Hes not great on turns so wont be able to do dressage on grass (aw shucks !!!) or show.....but he is mroe or less fine to keep on plugging along.
We tried everyone type of shoes n(egg bars/NB/wide web/heart bars/full pads/gel pads/you name it we tried it) but only Cytek could get him up and running.
Just a thought.
They are very contraversial shoes and my vet hated the thought of them.... until he xrayed his foot and saw the perfect pedal bone angle after 3 years of failing to correct the reverse angle in "rim" shoes. Now he recommends them....and this is the vet behind Newmarket Joint Supplement so he knows his stuff!
If you get stuck and have no other option - try them.
