Oh no, Bev. What a worry for you but you are doing all you can - these things happen. My 2 mares caught strangles many years ago from sharing a water trough with a new pony whom we didn't know had strangles at the time. It is rarely a problem though, just a nuisance keeping up the isolation for so long. Are you giving Bobs anything to boost his immune system for this period - maybe something from Global Herbs?

Thanks everyone, yes Pam Iv put him back on restore, its a detox thing but all I have at the moment and havent got any spare money. Im just hoping he will be ok and I wont need vet for swabs etc.
He is staying out until next weekend and then they are all coming in and staying in? not sure why.
Its hard doing him at night now as after work is dark and I cant take him into the stable so he is having his tea outside the gate and he is absolutely starving and desperate for his home comforts lol! Im taking that as a good sign and no runny nose or anything so Im hoping he will be ok.
The good news is the ringworm is looking a bit better and he hasnt got it anywhere else.

Oh flippin heck Bev I hope bobs doesn't get it, try not to worry too much Prince had it when he was 7 and it wasn't as bad as I thought, he recovered fairly quickly

oh my god!!! how did that happen? has hazel been bringing more random horses on? ?Thats just terrible! I remember when we had a scare when I was there with that black horse, turned out it wasnt in the end, but if there coming in positive - yikes!!! Im really sorry to hear about this. There is a homeopathic remedy my vet told me about - Micheal Spicer up at wright and mortens in mac that is..I cant remember what it was but he said hed had success with it.
really hope bobs doesnt get it, you should all demand cheaper rates for the rubbishest few months on the farm ever. Sultan is good, Ive got a wee pony on loan as a companion, I rode sultan and took her with us on a lead, shes so well behaved compared to sultan..come and bring yer boys - theyd love it up here!xl
