Boots should carry it. Barring that, sometimes you can find it in the healthy foods/bulk section of larger grocery stores.

Thuja I'd only seen in tablet form (but I'm also in the US) Maybe you can pm Bev and ask her where she got the thuja cream for Bobs??

Hi- I used hilton herbs - Hilton Ditton Cream for warts, sarcoids and viral skin conditions - it contains thuja tincture, distilled witch hazel, calendula, and other base oils - coconut, jojoba etc. this was good - its about £12 from thier website.
Also I gave thuja 30 orally a local homeopath will sell it cheaply and lots of garlic, this combitation plus the immune boost herbs seems to help really shift it. Like I said in an earlier post there was quite a dramatic reaction to the homeopathy and everything else and it did errupt and bleed loads during the treatment but within a very short time it was gone. I was extremely impressed and so was my vet who thought that removal or chemical treatment was the only way to go. good luck

Hi, I've just joined the board after an invitation from a friend (Olivia with Tilly) who asked me if I could post some info about Kinesiology as apparently there is a thread about it. She posted it for me and then said why not join so here I am! I work as an Essential Oil Therapist for Animals and I don't know if Sarcoids are more common or if we just know more about them nowadays but I would say 8 out of 10 of the animal clients I work with are Sarcoid horses. Most of my clients are in a similar position to khristyne in that they want to try using one of the more gentle conplementary therapies first, knowing that there are treatments like the Liverpool Cream and so on to fall back on. The great thing about the essential oil treatment is that it often smooths out all sorts of other emotional issues that were lurking under the surface at the same time and even those few cases I have had that didn't resolve the Sarcoids, saw other benifits.
There is absolutely no replacement for a supportive vet in the treatment of Sarcoids but it does seem that there are other therapies like EOT and Homeopathy that, if used with knowledge and keeping the horse as an individual in mind, seem to have really positive results. Fingers crossed for Bridget!

ThAT is really interesting lisa and Paula. Verity has moved Bridget to a different yard today, and she can live out. She does have a stable and will come in on V's days off. Perhaps the change of scene and grazing will do her good. The sarcoid is a little flatter but still nothing drastic.
perhaps I will get her some immune boost herbs

Really pleased you've joined in Pauhla!! Its been interesting to read more about the kinesology, and your use of essential oils. Khristyne, I'm so happy to hear Bridget's doing better and will soon have a change of scenery (well away from the owner/mare who started the other mess I'm hoping!). Fingers crossed for Bridget's continued healing!!

If anyone is interested I've been asked to do a day workshop on a Sunday in January in Shropshire. It is organised by a dog group but will be open to anyone with an interest in horses too. I could post details if /when it is arranged if that is allowed???

I could probably offer a couple of beds if people want to travel to it...

Its certainly allowed Pauhla. Maybe as the event draws nearer, you could post something under Events or General Chat (sometimes people only have time to cruise through the General and Horsey Chats, so they'll miss threads under Events, Vet, Schooling, etc). It sure sounds interesting. And a DFs get together/overnighter is always fun

Yes Pauhla, do post about your workshop details and, as Debbie says, it would be worth putting it in both "Events" and Horsey or General Chat.
It's a bit too far for me to get to though I would have been very interested. Perhaps we can arrange one for this side of the country some time!
