I've got a full size Jeffries bridle which fits Saturn perfectly except the cheek pieces are too long.
Does anyone know if I can get separate shorter cheek pieces in the same thickness? I think if I'm not mistaken that cob sizes are 5/8" and full size 3/4", so if I were to ask for cob then they would not match the rest of the bridle?

If you google Robinsons equestrian (they're in Malton not the Lancs people of the same name) you can get their 'phone number and make enquiries. They were recently selling Jeffries bridles for £45, I bought one and asked why they were on offer. The lady in the shop said they had made them up out of spares and that they were 1st quality not seconds or anything. It might be worth a try as they are very helpful and they do mail order.

Gill - there is an excellent saddler in the village where I live. He made Linda's side reins..... I'm sure if you send the cheekpieces up to me, with the detailed measurements you want, Barry will alter them for you. He's not expensive.........

Thanks everyone - Sue that may be the best option, if he can shorten them for me. I'll be in touch!

Jeffries you can mix and match the sizes for sure, when i was looking to get a bridle for Jasper, i went to my local equine shop and they recommended Jeffries or any other English bridle for that matter as you can mix and match sizes. I did get one made in the end as we have someone fairly local to us, who made one to measure.

Sue is this the Rideaway near you? I'll give them a call, thanks - but see the cheek pieces are £30!!! Blimey that seems a bit stiff, that's nearly half the cost of the whole bridle? ?

It is expensive isn't it? Especially as Barry would probably shorten them for you for less than a fiver each!

Curly has a jeffries bridle and exactly the same problem! I ended up having to buy seperate cheek pieces, but if you can get them shortened for about £5 I would go for that. seems a much cheaper option...
