There's quite a few of these saddles on eBay at the mo. Just wondered if anyone has one or tried one, and what they think of them. I've been looking at the Verona cob and working hunter models.

I have got the Verona working hunter. I bought the one with suede seat to help me stay put LOL.... cannot fault the saddle to be honest. I have had it adjusted 3 times now. costs roughly £40 a time but that is any re-flocking, plus adjusting tree. Lot cheaper than having to buy yet another saddle..... The only thing that I find difficult if the serge underneath. They say brush the hairs away but Curly must moult a lot... But I suppose its not too bad, I am lousy at tack cleaning! I think you can have it replaced with leather at a small extra cost. I suppose serge is nice for the horse as well. If you phone the company direct they are really helpful as well. If you want any further information please dont hesitate to pm me? But no complaints from either Curly or me.

I have the dressage Easi-sit one and can't fault it either. I like the serge panels and I think they are very comfortable for the horse. I always use a numnah though to keep it clean. My one gripe is there are no fitters in my area so I can't get it adjusted and certainly doesn't fit Harvey at the moment.

I've got one of these coming for Cherry, due any day now. I (Cherry) tried on a gp and it was weird to sit on at first, I like a big flat seat, but felt fine after a bit of trotting etc. I ordered a WH one with a round cantle and a broader seat with dressage bars as I hate the chair position, got so used to the F&E and the SBS. I am a bit worried about what it will be like when I actually get it though as I do like comfort and I know I can't afford to go through the chopping and changing saddle search again. If I had known that this saddler had the gear to adjust the saddle co saddles then I would have got one 2nd hand and asked her to fit it and saved quite a bit of money on the way. I'll let you know what I think to it when it is actually here.

Funnily enough I'd phoned TDS Julie to see if they stocked them and had the machine to alter them, and they do. I'll hopefully get down there at the weekend and have a look at one in the flesh. Thanks.

Hi Tina, unfortunately I lost out on the one I was bidding for, but a Samber came up which I thought would be worth a try and I got it. It's very wide with lovely flat panels and seems to fit Jazz really well, although I haven't had chance to give it a good test yet. I still like the Saddle Company ones though so if this doesn't work out I'd like to try one of those. Thanks for all your help and info.

I now have a Saddle Co Verona as of yesterday.Had a quick ride and it felt strange after my treeless, but it should bed down soon. Betty went really well so she must be comfy.I wanted a "normal" saddle as it felt odd in the treeless after having my lessons, but in the meantime whilst awaiting delivery,my seat has improved so much I found that I liked the treeless again...lol
So will use both,as Betty now has a normal saddle for anyone else who wants to ride her,and the treeless can be used my other girl Lucy. What was odd was that the Saddle Co saddle actually felt wider than the Freeform treeless? Perhaps that will change when it beds down in about 3 hrs riding.
I wish I had thought to buy second hand, but didnt know we had someone with the machine so local........aaargh
So I now have 4 saddles to sell ......and hopefully my search for the rights one/s has ended....hooray

Just thought I would say that I love my new saddle....It is equal to the Freeform,so very happy now. Betty seems to like it as well..with my improved riding after the lessons, and a saddle made specially for her she is really striding out. We are doing 20 minute walk/short trots to build her up and yesterday she didnt want to turn for home....she wanted to carry on bless her.
And Lucy is staying sound so far, after 3 short rides so all looking good at the moment... I am one happy bunny.......
