My friend Joy has been converted to treeless and is about tp buy a Freeform but would really like to see one first and so I wondered if anyone on here had one who lives anywhere near us ( Skipton, N yorks area) as she isn't having much luck awith the contact that she has been given by goldfinch. Its just that its her first treeless and she hasn't even seen one yet and its a lot of money to part with when its a bit unknown.

hi ang hasn't sarah got one or one similar? as you know we have the b ch. just to mention our back spec came the other day - i have two. this one seems to have an interest in t saddles and ponted out about how the stitching across the stirrup holders can cause back problems and pointed out how the b ch has diamond shaped stitching and relieves this pressure. there were several known ones he was against but the b ch was one of the ones he approved of thankfully.
bye the way must mention fran aged 16 wouldnt be seen riding in mine when i got it then when she tried it - loved it. in fact she went to sutton-on-the-forest show today and wanted to take it for the small jumping, i was shocked. she said it makes her feel safe and does not fall off when he refuses lol and does not care what anyone thinks. so it isnt just the slightly older sensible rider that uses them.

No, it's the fitform I have (which was Goldfinch's predecessor to the freeform). The fitform is just like the cheyenne.
There WAS a Dalesfan who had a freeform, as I remember them bringing it to the performance show at Huddersfield a few years ago for people to see. One or two people tried it on their ponies from what I remember....... just can't remember who!
I don't know directly of anyone who has one though, and haven't heard any general comments about them.

Hello Yes, I have the Freeform and I still think it's a great saddle after having it for a couple of years now. Mine has the metal gullet plate at the front, the latest version has a flexible plate built in to the seat. It's a great saddle if you want to do a lot of hacking. I'm not sure if I'd want to jump very high in one as it doesn't have much in the way of knee rolls though.

Thanks Caroline - we are not massive jumers anyway so it shouldnt be a problem. And Fran - I am in no way old and sensible!! I refuse to accept any increase in age or sense! RLOL I think the treeless is the way forward and only the hyper cool would ride in one -Others will see the light.lol Ang ps mines got some mileage in it now you know.

I cant help with loaning one as in Sussex, but my friend has started riding my mare Lucy in the Freeform and she loves it.And her previous ride was a narrow TB so big change, but she says she feels really secure in it. So now she gets that saddle for Lucy, whilst I ride Betty in the Saddle Co saddle, but I do miss the Freeform......lol

Hi ang - I hope to have mine in the next couple of weeks, so if you are going to the Performance show I could bring it there for you to see?

Thanks Alison but I think she might have gone ahead and done it by then- we are going on a trail ride soon and she wanted it before then. We will still hopefully see you at the show though.

Hi I am about an hour from York (nr Hull) and have a freeform if you wanted to come and have a look. It is a bit to travel but if it would mean you get to see one before buying.
Echo the jumping it would not be very good for jumping there are no knee support. Also it has quite a high front.
Feel free to PM me if you want to come over?
