www.saddleexchange.com I sat on one at PUK this week and fell in love - would like more info off anyone that has one, used one, tested one, and any style. I am personally looking at the Glen Mark II

Gina funnily enough this is the saddle I would like. I had one a few years ago and it was really nice, I have contacted them but the service at the moment leaves alot to be desired but I am not going to give up. I think this may be the only saddle that I can get to fit my so wide young man.

LOL Ruth, great minds.... ;D
I've always bought the Olney WH saddle for my kids in the past and have loved them, but on a couple of occasions thought they just sat that bit snug on the shoulders, so once the pony had really muscled up - I was a little apprehensive of them. I was able to try the Glen Mark II although not on a horse. It was gorgeous, they also do a gel foam panel, but have never used this type before. The Gullet was excellent, as soon as they are back from PUK, I'll get them to come out and fit Gabriel. I was thinking of getting three of them, one for the coloured colt, one for Malaki and one for Gabriel.
Which one did you have Ruth, Gel or Flocked? and have you still got the original one you purchased?
Do you want the phone number for this company?

I had one for doris - I really liked the fit and the flat seat for me, as a show saddle I think they are brill.

I have had one to try now, just by mail order as the saddle fitter couldn't come for weeks. I had a 17" glen 6 fit but unfortunately it didn't go anywhere near my boy so may try a wider one or wait till spring, not sure yet. Lovely saddle though.

Cripes Ruth, if you're waiting that long, how long before I can get them to me??? Probably a good idea to wait for spring if your lad is still GROWING up.

I've got 3 of them - one bought secondhand from Alison I really like their saddles and wouldn't buy anything else now.

The trouble is Gina that I am riding him in a treeless barefoot cheyenne saddle which is the only thing to fit at the moment and because he is so wide my poor elderly hips cannot cope with the width. Half an hour and I am crippled, its quite funny really as its finally hit me, I am getting old.

We have used the native Pony Saddle GP on my Fell since he was broken at 4 - it has been checked but not altered - he is now ten and it still fits him perfectly - they are very comfy for both rider and horse - good luck! The saddle we have for Buccanneer is the widest fitting they could do but it does not feel like it when you are riding him.

Thanks Kermie, I had a feeling you had one...didn't realise you had three Nativerider, many thanks. Good to hear yours is still put to good use. Ruth I will be interested to hear how you fair with the Native Saddle Company after the Cheyenne. I know that Gabriel will certainly have one prior to christmas, although I don't own this lad any longer, he will be with his owner and she will have the benefit of the saddle, I'm going to have to wait for mine to grow up a lot before the investment. I was also looking at the endurance saddle - although a bit steep for my pocket at the moment, but certainly would be ideal for good long hauls out.

Holly's saddle is a native pony company glen. we were more than happy with it. it didn't move, very comfortable, a really gorgeous saddle. only thing is it is pretty straight cut so if your pony bucks there is nothing much to keep you on. Jo x

I think I heard on the grapevine that the reactor panel - if that's the endurance one you mean has quite a few niggles. Cant quote any but I remember when looking for a new saddle to do high mileage in I discounted it quite quickly.
Have forgotten how to get on the egb chat site or I'd ask.
