brought a happy mouth bit of my friend to try on dan. he didnt seem to bothered about the change but i only did have a quick walk trot and canter round the field. he didnt do any bit chomping like he normally does. the oly thing i did notice was that when i took his bridle of he didnt open his mouth for thw bit to fall out so he must have felt happy with it in there. www.saddler.co.uk/acatalog/Happy_Mouth_Roller_Centre_Snaffle_Horse_Bit.htmlthis is the one i have.

LOL...being 'apple scented/flavored' I bet I could bit Blossom right now and have a fight getting the bit back ...she positively adores apple anything! Will certainly keep these in mind in a couple of years as she gets old enough to back and bit.

tried it today no difference. hoped it might help his headshaking or at least get him to stop easier but just my luck - no chance.
washed and returning it tomorrow.

what a shame. dan is going well in his.
was fine on a hack this morning. no chomping on it and wasnt bothered about it coming out of his mouth.
maybe try anohter one??
