Does anyone know if you can get saddle soap or something similar that has antifungal properties. All my leather is now going really mouldy and I cant bring it all home!

I tried one a few years ago that was supposed to be anti-fungal. I can't remember the name nor what i thought of it! Not a lot of use, am I?

I'd be interested as well, as the little room my tack is stored in gets quite damp over winter

The Oakwood stuff has Tea Tree and Eucalyptus in it so that should help surely

Odd isn't it that we never see mouldy cows that have got damp but I suppose they have their own central heating boilers. lol

I tried some Stubben stuff on my harness before putting it away for a while, it was okay but not 100%. This warm damp weather is perfect for mould spores to develop, trying to keep stuff dry is the best thing, don';t know how you do though.
mmmmm I wonder if a light wipe with Milton or similar would work......

Sarah, Carr day and Martin do some wipes that I have used and have antifungal stuff in. Iv just copied their info below. They were quite good too. The new ‘Step 1’ in tack care - leaving a perfect surface for the immediate application of a conditioning soap or oil Individual and convenient; single-use impregnated wipe to remove surface dirt and mud with ease. (For ingrained grease and dirt use ‘heavy duty’ Belvoir Tack Cleaner in a spray bottle) Anti-fungal formula helps prevent the growth of mould and mildew. Also ideal to hygenically remove existing mould from affected saddlery The pH neutral formula will not rot stitching or over dry the leather Remove wipe from individual sachet and fully unfold. Wipe over dirty tack using both sides of the wipe. If mould is present, make sure the wipe is disposed of away from leather items. Can also be used on synthetic leather. Not suitable for aniline or untreated leather, suede or nubuck. Test on a hidden area before use. Results are immediate Key ingredients: cleaning agents www.quayequestrian.com/cdm/ProductDetail.aspx?id=174

I use the Step 1 spray to clean my tack because it gets awful greasy. It's excellent for cleaning and leaves the tack feeling supple and ready for the soap or leather conditioner. Can't comment on its anti-fungal properties though as my tack is used all the time.

Have you tried using 'Milton'? The stuff used for cleaning babies bottles. I have been told that this gets rid of any mould and prevents it returning. Use normal saddle soap afterwards.
