This morning I got an email from the Cashel company giving me a 40% discount on their dings and dented models. I emailed back saying its rather tacky that they wouldn't respond to my email regarding safety and their saddle, but they'd send me an email to sell me something. In short, their customer service seriously apologized, saying they hadn't received the email. ? So I've been emailing their customer service back and forth today, repeating what happened, and sending them a link with photos. Their manager offered to repair the saddle, but I told him I'd all ready thrown it away.... I doubt I would have ever trusted it again even if repaired, same as any other saddle. They emailed me back asking me what colour and size saddle would I like? They're going to replace it for me! Knock me over with a feather! I've no idea what happened to my original email, but I'm certainly happy that they've taken my griefs on board. Happily when sent the photos, the manager said it was an older model, that they've all ready altered the rivets holding the stirrups and cinch on. He also said that the thing that happened with the foam has only happened on 2 other saddles, but it did happen....the separating I mean. So I'd say if you get one of these saddles, do keep alert to any wrinkles appearing on the top. I know I will be....and I'll be keeping a better eye on my whole pre-flight checks from here on out. But the Cashel company certainly has my vote for excellent customer service! LOL, once they've received my complaint...

That is brilliant customer service Debbie, not something you see too often these days! Hope your replacement doesn't give you the same problems!

Just to say, the saddle arrived promptly, and yes, the company has indeed done without the rivets for the cinch and stirrups. The whole thing is now bonded to the foam!
So now here I sit with a saddle and no horse ....lol
