I had a really good chat today to Katya at Horse and Harmony, but I,m a little confused on what size to get even Katya was unsure as to whether I needed a 1 or 2, the one is for dress size 14 max and the 2 is 14 and over, I am a size 14 on my bottom half but think I may need a size 2 all the same, just wondered if anyone could help me decide.

I don't know about these particular saddles, but traditionally saddle seats are to do with the length of your thigh. you measure from your pubic bone to your kneecap. I don't know what lengths correspond to what seat size tho - sorry. However I think your dress size does influence things too - I've got short legs, but my fat behind means I need a bigger seat.

i have the size 1 and am a size 12... my daughter is prob a 14/16 she uses the size 1 and has done working hunter trials etc in this saddle. she said she wouldnt be seen dead in this saddle (typical 16yr old) and hoped i enjoy it. try taking it away from her now lol she doesnt care what anyone on the yard thinks. once she realised how safe it made her feel and how comfy it is. she loves it as much as i do. i did think about getting a size 2 for her but although it will be spacious you need to think of the pony too. sam has a short back so with the larger saddle it may sit more on his loins. so although these saddles are more about fitting the person. if you have a short back pony you may want to consider this.
if you get the wrong size i would imagine katja will exchange it. do you not have anyone nearby whos saddle you can try?
hope this is of help. karen

Olivers Torsion is for a size 10-12. I actually think its quite small, but Rick rides in it quite happily!! Not sure if going by the dress size is a good idea or not - after all, there are a lot of variations of people who are a size 10 for example. Some may be in a size 10, but have a big bottom, and therefore not fit in the smaller saddle!!!
