Have you got your new saddle yet? How are you getting on with it?

Yes, the trial saddle arrived yesterday! I've got it for a week. I've ridden twice in it now but too soon to comment. It certainly sits me narrower so is not so painful on the groin and puts less pressure on my ankle. I can't decide about the fit for Harvey yet though - I will have to discuss it with the saddlers next week.
Much as I love my Fhoenix for "bum comfort" and Harvey seems to like it too, it really does sit me too wide now he's so fat and that inevitabley encourages me to tip forwards slightly. I have yet to try a suberpanel under it for comparison.

Doesn't sound like an instant 'yes' then. That's how I felt the first time I sat on the suber. I tried the prolite 1st and thought not bad, than got on the suber, walked 3 steps and knew I would never be happy on anything else again. Could just be something about me and mine tho!
I do think that you need the GP on a wide pony to get legs around the width. With the movable blocks you can get it to dressage anyway, if that makes sense.
I know in Jack's pics I am tipping forward, but thats me not the saddle - I look like that on foot as well!!! Bring Harvey down here and try mine.

Are you now the proud owner of a new saddle?

Still not decided! I'm not going to rush after all the hoo-ha I had in the first place. It is deffinately much better on my ankle and back, ideal for general hacking - better than anything I've tried so far and Harvey seems happy with it. I still need to experiment with seat savers though.

Can lend you a Heather Moffett if you haven't got one, I haven't got the hipsaver, just the normal one. I only bought it for the Balance saddle and I haven't used that in months.

Thanks, I've got the HM one - I always used it on my old dressage saddle. But I find it is too bulky in the "girlie area" so am going to try something else. I think I must be very strangely built!
