LOL the grey pony was Sara's first pony, I did have some pics of him on here a while back, I thought I'd deleted them from photobucket - don't know why that sometimes happens

Was the bridle a split eared Zelda? Or did it have the normal browband? Actually when you've got them in snaffle, its still the wrinkle at the corner of the mouth. Its with the curb that you need it lower than the english style of snaffle snug. Throatlatch could be let out a notch, but other than that, it looks great! And the saddle certainly looked comfy. Pity he outgrew it, but then most dales do, don't they? The instructor sure looks the biz

Debbie, the bridle has a loop for the ear, we still have it and another one I'm not getting rid of them - still have a small hope that they might get used again This is it and this one we bought from someone giving up

Now that's interesting, both are split ears, but they aren't sliding. The ones I've used in the past, when you have the one loop to go 'round one ear, both ends are looped onto the main leather, so you can slide the earpiece to wherever you need it. Here's a pic of one www.valleyvet.com/ct_detail.html?pgguid=f33dfa0b-d010-48db-877d-c5d74375b96f If you click on the pic to the side, it brings it up larger so you can see better. I'm surprised at the current trend for 'two' split ears. LOL, where's the point in that? Just use a browband, much easier ;D Yours are lovely Zelda, small wonder you don't want to let them go

I like the idea of being able to move the split ear to where is most comfy for the horse, the bottom pic of my two pics the split ear has a sliding bottom to it but a fixed top

Yes, it was very comfy for the horse that way, very adjustable. LOL, but you did have to take a glance before putting the bridle on. Sometimes in the past, I'd get the bit in, only to find the ear piece had slid down toward the right eye...oops!
