As you know William is now driving and doing great so what is everyone else up to.

Jazz has been driving for just over 18 months. We broke her ourselves with loads of help from Sue (Jet) and her hubby Dave. Jazz is doing really well and enjoys it. I shall also start Bo and Josie when it's their time.

I broke my welsh D/tb to drive and did some club stuff with him but mainly the driving version of off-road hacking (he thought it was rallying). He has been retired. Broke Moo to harness did some club training days with her but never any competitions. I groom for my friend who does 2DE, D+C, social drives etc and have borrowed her pony for taking to a show and D+C. I plan to drive Ed but obviously that will depend on how he gets on etc etc.

Raven is only 3 and not yet backed, but |I hope that in a couple of years he will be broken to drive, although I am a newbie to driving, so need to go and have some lessons myself too!

My 4-yr old, Rebel, has done all the preliminaries with me - long-reining, wearing full harness, pulling a tyre along the road, etc. and on Monday next goes to a friend of mine to be "put to" as I don't have the experience or confidence to do it myself. Fingers crossed for Rebel and his training!!

Harley has been long reined til he's blue in the face, full harness, pulled tyres from the back pad and on the traces. Next step is to get him pulling a fish box or something like that for noise. He's getting used to the Liverpool bit too.
Hopefully if I do get a cart this weekend, we will get him between shafts in the next couple of months.

I have a pony that used to drive - Poppy did long distance driving with her previous owners - but now I occasionally groom for my friend with her hackney stallion. I have got part of a cart and various bits and bobs for Poppy ie her old driving bridle so maybe in the future........

well my William has been driving for three years now and we are not doing much this year just pootling round the fields and roads. But very exciting news I went down to wales to visit my kids and bought a two year old gypsy cob!!! he is lovely and he will be broken to drive next year and then turned away. He is black and must have some Dales in him somewhere, he has a gorgeous piebald sister who I didn't buy but she has just been visited by the stallion mmmmmm wonder if the oh would notice a new foal as well lol
