Jodie has seemed so much better lately so we thought we'd give her a little outing in the Benny that we collected from Karen yesterday! Had a wonderful day with Karen and Colin, such a shame we couldn't stay longer with them! So took Benny back home (awful 7 hour journey due to accident on M6!)and decided to give Jodie a try. She was her normal speedy self but very well behaved as she hasn't been driven for about a year! Only took her at walk, much to her disgust, as she is shoeless at the mo,so didn't want her to get sore feet. Will have her shoes put back on as she is going to Forest Farm with us in September! Here is a little pic of Jodie in her Benny!

What a journey it was Karen! We're still recovering! We took the dogs out for a walk when we got home( about 11.30!)so we were truly shattered! The Benny looks as beautiful as it did a couple of years ago,you have taken such care of it!
It's lovely to have Jodie back for a while and she'll fill in until Flash is ready then he can take over!

Nice to see Jodie driving again. Bennington looks lovely. Had a go in one today, and definitely would like one. So comfy to ride in.

Can't believe it is a year since she was last in harness - what a good girl.
Bennys are really nice. We are half thinking of going back to two wheeler but four wheelers are just so much easier etc. Will probably end up doing nothing as my brain is so addled at the moment.

Jo,doesn't time go quickly! We thought she may have calmed down a bit but no,still the same old Jodie! She was so good though and we'll only do a litle work with her for the rest of this year as we'll have gorgeous Flash ready next year . Know what you mean about four wheelers Jo, Dave keeps looking at them again on Ebay even though we've just sold one!! We think Flash would be brill at driving trials as he's so calm but we just can't keep them fit enough to do it properly. Hows Cherry doing at the moment?

Nice to have it back Kim! You can put Jazz in it at FF and see how she goes in it. I'll groom for you if Nicks not too keen! I'll stand on the backstep and we'll do the cones course!!

We haven't really progressed much further. She is fine wearing the harness, being lunged in it, being longreined in it, having things trailing on the ground around her etc but I haven't found a bit she is really comfy in so when we trot and have a bit more contact she pokes her nose, gets her tongue over it (I think) and gets a bit irritated. I know I should probaly push her more into a contact when just walking but she pretty brisk anyhow and loves to walk out, maintaining soft hands and a light and constant contact while marching along is pretty difficult. On one hand I don't want to hamper her forward going walk and on the other if she is not happy in her mouth she wouldn't want to take a contact anyway. It is so much easier when you are sitting on top of them and move with them! It's pay day next week so I am going to try a Myler Comfort snaffle, if that doesn't work then back to the drawing board.
