Sorry to bore you - more driving!!

We did it!! Me and Mike drove him in the field tonight and did some trotting. He was very good, slow and concentrating on everything. The field is pretty uneven.
Then I drove him out of the gate onto the road, quite a tight turn, then Mike got in and we went down the road to our house (1/2 a mile), another VERY tight turn and stepping over the yellow 'snake' hosepipe on the way, back along the road, stopping to speak to the neighbours on route and back home. There's quite a steep hill and the breeching really pushed and he just held it.
Then a last good fast trot back to the shed.

He was so good, apart from gawping about a bit and forgetting to stay in the middle of the road (my fault I suppose). I am just so proud of him!!

Well done Jane, Mike and Harley! What a team you are! You must be so pleased with him and now you're driving on the roads there'll be no stopping you! Brilliant!

LOL, sounds he is doing just great, well done.
I felt it was a great adventure when you finally get to go out on the roads.
I love it when the pony just bouls along happily.

I do think that these ponies just 'know' driving and seem to slip into it so easily. Tinker is so much happier being driven than ridden....

Thanks everyone! He's had a week off driving as we have a 25km ride on Sunday, but I'm hoping to get him back in the gig and up the cart track next week all being well......
