Another cart has joined us. That makes 5 (I think!), Trying to find a two wheeled exercise cart for an 11.2 has been a nightmare. They seem in short supply round here. Anyway, a lady at our driving club had one she has been using to break donkeys in. It will suit Tyson. I kept looking at the plush plaid seat, and thinking where have I seen one like that before. Lady selling cart saw me looking, and explained its a bus seat!!! Wonder if someone got off the bus with it under their arm?
Tyson will be going to the driving club event on Sunday. Thats if the cart will fit in the wagon - the shafts will not come off for travelling. Rick is going to sleeve them, which will be better.

Well, we put the harness on Tyson today, and put him in his new cart. As he has not been driven for well over a year (could be more) we led him round the field a few times. He was ok, so we took him up the track. When we were sure he was not going to panic, Rick got on, and I walked alongside. Thankfully, he was really good, and when down the lane and back with no problems. He had already taken the girls from next door on a ride today as well!!!
I am so pleased that he went well in harness. I had never actually seen him driven, and only had his previous owners word that he was ok - although I do remember seeing him a couple of times with his cart tied outside the village shop a good few years ago!!
So, he will be off to the driving event tomorrow. I don't think he will be entering the competition, but the experience of being there and trying the cone course will be good for him.

That's lovely. We have a pony which has been driven and would love to have a go when we get some gear! However, it is nerve-wracking thinking we only have previous owners word for her being fine! (No reason to think otherwise though!)
Saw the pic on the other thread - he looks as if he enjoys it too.
