but I thought you might like to see my mum and dad driving our donkey 'Lulu'. Lulu was a beach donkey at Scarborough, she didn't like giving rides and kept lying down. So my Mum bought her and got her broken to drive - which she really enjoys, but definately at her own pace!LOL

Oh wow, she looks great, I'd love to have a donkey, (proper one, not a native pony just acting like one) lovely to know she has a new career.
LOL at lying down, doesn't Lulu know that Scarborough beach donkeys are the only ones in the country that have their own charter to regulate how many hours they work and that they must have a certain amount of holiday each year!!!

LOL! she obviously didn't realise how lucky she was! she was better off than most humans! I think it was the children she didn't like - I tried to put my little girl on her back and she did a very fast side step (well practised I think!).

Awwwhhhh, she's absolutely adorable!! And doesn't that cart suit her? Neither too high nor too low... and the red definitely suits. Bless her heart at lying down on the job ~ good on her for knowing she didn't suit! LOL ;D

lulu looks lovely. Good to hear she has taken to driving. I am on the look out for a driving donkey, but would prefer it to ride as well. They are hard to come by round here though.

We bought Lulu from HeeHaw donkeys - they have a website. They lady who runs it lives in Scotland but keeps donkeys at Scarborough to work on the beach. It might be worth contacting her, I think she knows lots of donkey people and might beable to find you a suitable ride and drive donkey.
