*No* ideas Lucy. Are they tennis balls set atop the cones, or are they something special only for driving??

Try Dragon Driving or Ride and Drive, they may have them!

I tried Benningtons and got this response: "Sorry I can't really help, we sell the cones but not the balls, as we struggle to source them. I see most people use tennis or plastic balls. Many be worth checking with your local driving club and see what they use. Good luck with your mission." So it looks like I need to find a polo club! LOL! If you find any more "redundant" ones I need 12!!! Will go and try Dragon... Thanks for the thoughts.

Lucy, I've used sponge balls, very good as far as safety is concerned, but they blew off in the slightest breeze, so replaced them with tennis balls.
Good luck!

You could try www.hartlandcarriages.co.uk as I bought my cones from them perhaps they sell the balls too. I don't bother with balls as I usually know if I get too close to them as you can feel it through the wheels. If I was going to bother I would use tennis balls as no doubt the usual balls are like all carriage driving equipment probably madly expensive!! I love cones even though we usually end up accessorizing the under side of the carriage with them!!! I have to try not to get overexcited and do wheelies!! A good exercise with them is to set up few random ones and try doing them for 5 minutes. just keep trotting round them and through them. It helps with concentration LOL!

Mum got me some red and yellow tennis balls for my birthday so they are easy to find as there will be more in the grass than on the cones no doubt! LOL!

When I got my set of cones they came with balls, just lightweight hollow yellow plastic balls about the size of tennis balls. I thought that cones would have come with the balls ! at the driving club we just use old tennis balls.

For indoor driving we use either tennis balls or hard balls otherwise soft balls just get blown off, at one indoor / out event the organiser forgot the balls so we had to the nearest shop and buy 20 apples which the ponies thought was great fun, there isnt really a safty issue with hard balls, if you hit the cones its usually with the back wheels (unless you drive tandem and the leader decides to remover them for you) by this point the pony is well clear of the ball falling so shouldnt hit it or get in way of feet! hope this helps
