And I have cheated Caroline to make my life easier, I bought lots of gift bags with tissue paper in red and gold and just wrapped alot of things in the paper and popped it into the bag, and I,m still moaning.

LOL! I'm absolutely hopeless at wrapping presents! I daresay if I tried I could do it - but it seems a bit of a waste of paper to me. Not very romantic am I? LOL

Dito here. I have found that during the Dickens Festival people forget the holiday spirit is happy and not possession! However, I highly recommend that you have pumpkin pie. I made some the other day. I had 12oz of whiskey in it. It does help on wrapping.

Thats a great idea girls but unfortunatly I am on the wagon I decided just over a week ago that I was drinking too much white wine ie a glass or two most nights, so I decided to stop I have to say I have been a bit irratable shall we say, but, I do feel much better in lots of other ways, we have our farm Christmas party next weekend so I,m sure I will have a glass or two then, lol.

I love wrapping pressies, but my hands don't - I have given up with sellotape and bought sticky discs from Lakeland - great things.

Oooh, small wonder you didn't feel festive Van. Still, if you stick with it, you'll feel better in the long run. Meantime, just keep reminding yourself why you're cutting back
