We're doing fine so far, Zelda. Thank you for asking I'd say there's about an inch of ice still on the trees. We didn't have accumulation yesterday, but I looked at our map, and we're getting ready for wave two soon. Hey on the positive side, they say after five more days of ice, we'll finally get some snow. I got an email from Nancy yesterday saying they were at 82*F!! Knight was inside basking under his fan. LOL, Blossom offers to send him some ice cubes from her water trough. ;D Anne, if you haven't braced, I'd say do so. Its a big one.

Back again. So far we've had dimming and flickering lights, some surges throughout the day, but the electricity's held (knock on wood). They're calling for more ice today, but supposedly switching to snow tomorrow...whooooh This afternoon the rains managed to melt quite a bit of ice from the trees, and the lines. It was a bit scary listening to the ice as it came crashing down. Mister's like a cat in a roomful of rocking chairs. Poor lad was walking under the ash tree when a wind tickled the upper branches and down came a lot of ice. He's decided to hang out under the carport....smart move. I just hope the lights hold and the crews are able to restore power again. There's a lot of folks without tonight.

Hope you are OK today Debbie and still have electricity. I watched the ice storms report on the TV last night. It looked dreadful and really frightening!

Hanging in there, thanks Blossom's doing really well. We've had a night of mostly dry weather, and she's finally dried out again. That's been the hardest bit for her. Its been nonstop rain with all this ice and freezing weather. Crazy! Now its gone all foggy, but luckily I think the second wave has passed. Nothing's melting today, but then nothing's coming down at the moment, so I'll call it a good thing.
