What a good idea, Leann. Your tree is lovely!
I wish ours wold fold away at the end as it would avoid the usual arguements of how to get the tree out of the house making the least mess! Will take a pic tomorrow.

It looks a very posh tree, you are very organised! Mine looks like it has been carried through the undergrowth, beaten with a fly swop and half eaten my a rabid goat..... I should get some new decorations for it but the old ones have so many memories I can't bear to throw them away!

I think I need to get a tree like that Leann, every year putting the decorations up seems more and more like a chore ! Think my Christmas spirit has well and truly gone - except the type that goes in my glass LOL!!

LOL Gill! My house is a decoration-free-zone this year due to Jasper who wrecks everything he can get his paws on LOL

Tree looks lovely Van!! MRSP the tree isn't posh at all LOL and it is purely out of laziness this year that I couldn't be bothered to erect our usual tree. I know what you mean about some of the ornemants having sentimental value. It's nice to have some good memories when you put the tree up.

LOL...well I got as far as stringing lights round the house and lined my Christmas cards up on the mantel. A tree....weeeellll, I killed our last one and we never replaced it yeah, I know, leave it to me. I love yours Leann, it looks so festive, and Van yours looks wonderful too a 16 foot tree? Don't let Eldon know. I can just see him trying to match that next year At least Ton wasn't trying to fit that into the house. mrsp...half eaten by a rabid goat?? That sounds rather like what mine looked like after I'd killed it.

Both your trees look very elegant! I've also got fed up and just throw any bauble to hand onto our tree and no extra decorations. I do love the smell of our tree though. Here it is: Some pics of Ben working himself into a frenzy opening his presents: Ben deffinately enjoys Christmas the most in our house!

This is our Christmas tree - quite a modest one this year, we normally have the worlds most enourmous one in the hall - it's mad! My mum is one of these people who has to have PERFECT decorations, so we have NEVER been allowed to help decorate, or to put things we made on the tree - even now it's strictly hands off! Alex and I have rebelled by Alex having the most gaudy multicoloured decorations going, with as much stuff made by her kids on the tree as possible, and I have MILLIONS of lights all flashing and winking!!! and just to show I did it - here's my Christmas stollen - I even hand made the marzipan (although I forgot to check how much I needed, so I now have 1.5lbs sitting in the fridge!). It did taste much nicer than this looks! Olivia

That Stollen looks really yummy - well done for making it. I bet it it tons better than the shop bought ones.
Your Christmas tree looks very elegant too! Look at all those gifts, what fun! I thought I was the queen of gaudy - Andy always tells me not to put all the baubles etc on but I can't bare to leave any still in the box. We've got a selection dating from the 50's to the present and I put as many on as I can.
