My son Carl found a Red Admiral flying around our annexe yesterday, the coldest room in the house! I have to say I've still seen mozzies as well ...

Hmmmm - not really been cold enough yet has it (wouldn't think it mind).
When I was walking to work through the snow on Thursday morning I saw a beautiful red rose in a garden with snow it. Wish I'd had my camera handy!

Two days ago we were at 5*F....today we're at 65*F and in two days from now, we're supposed to start in with the freezing rain yet again The weather's gone mad!!! Mister was out batting at mozzies today as well...and I spotted a dandelion bloom in the yard. What a weird winter!

I thought it would be far too cold for butterflies? Although we have the odd small fly at the yard.

Our weather is just odd. It was -5, 69, then now 30. There were 60 mile winds. We have enough mudd. No one can go out as they could break a leg in that mudd. It is just odd weather.

The butterfly could have been in hibernation in the room, and woken up if the sun was shining in and it got warm enough. Poor thing will be wishing it had stayed asleep!!
We were down the river bank at the weekend and the gnats were still dancing.
