I've been having a good patch where my bones have been behaving pretty well - it has been great! Even when Harley has been hoolying around it hasn't been too bad. I haven't been to the chiro for nearly 2 months!! BUT my fingers are playing up - especially my little fingers, making it very difficult to hold the reins properly I can't grip tightly with my thumbs or index fingers either, and once I've got the girth buckle on the strap, wrap the girth strap round my little fingers and sort of 'ratchet' them up but that was difficult today. I do worry that one day I will have no grip at all. Add to that - today I filled up the hay rack for the sheep and the heavy wooden (wet) lid fell on my head and all my teeth are jangly now!!

My fingers are always bad after I've lunged, even when it feels there is no pressure on them. My 3rd finger on each hand has gradually gone crooked.
Jane, I think I could join you in the creaky gate club at present!

I'm definitely part of this club - every time I ride or do anything with the horses that involves a firm contact I really feel it in my hands afterwards! I have to make sure I have very grippy reins and gloves! Hope your head isn't too sore Jane , but glad to hear that at least your bones are okay for the moment!!

Can I join in too? I'm finding the same problem with fingers too, expecially my 3rd finger. However, I bought myself some very expensive rubber grip reins last summer and they are brilliant. They are rubber grip but very soft and flexible to the point of being rather "wibbly-wobbly" but are so easy to keep hold of - far better and more comfortable than the usual sort of rubber grip reins. Not sure what make they are but they could be the Jeffries bio-grip rubber reins.

Might have to look into them, Pam. They are still pretty sore today and every time I use my fingers it aggravates them again GRR!!
Who else will join our club LOL??!!
