Grrrrrrrrr can I just get this out of my system?! Just driven to work, ok I was running late cos of horses makin me late oops, and I am nearly parked, but have to go down a hill with parked cars on my side, so i go down about 5 parked cars, and this 4x4 comes the other way, so i stop to let her get on the curb, thats what tends to happen on this road, as if you are on the left you kind of have to jump on the curb to avoid the other cars as they cant go anywhere with parked cars by them, so i wait 2 mins or so for her to get on the curb and she doesnt move, so i start waving my arms, HELLOOOOOO 4X4!!! Nope, so in the end IIII in my Seat Arosa, little car have to reverse all the way bk up the hill to let her out, arrrrgghhhhh sorry to anyone who has a 4X4 but where I park is right nxt to a private school and all the mums hav a 4x4 and cannot drive them at all, it makes me mad!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I hate 4x4 drivers who are using the chelsea tractors, not only do they give the rest of us 4x4 owners a bad name, they are now costing us more in tax too
my 4x4 on the other hand is used for towing animals and both drivers can drive it
I know just what you mean!

thanks Daleslady, I have absolutly no problems with people who NEED them, but like this one today it was imaculate, obv never seen any mud in its life and yep, fair enuff if u want one, but at least drive it like its meant to be driven!!!! and yeh grrr i do get annoyed at how many people drive them with 1 child in the back and whack our taxes up! We all got driven around in a Daewoo Matiz and now my mum has a Fiat Panda for my brothers and we coped fine!

I agree, these silly Mums on the school run give the rest of us a bad name. As Andy says (endlessly) "They shouldn't be let out of their drives"......

Andy is right Pam, if they want them just for looks, then that is exactly where they should be
Nic - i hate it when my Discovery goes into the garage, they insist on cleaning it, - Landrovers are meant to be muddy

As you know Nic i have a 4x4, but i do know where you are coming from. We have no end of problems, sorry to to say, mainly Mum's doing a school runs, who have no idea of the size of there truck, how to drive it, and of course couldn't possibly get over on the verge. Most of these mum's have no need for a 4x4. AARRGGG, i better shut up before i go off on one, LOL.

Oh for Pete's sake ~ its a 4x woman, get a grip!!! I completely agree, if they're going to get a 4x, or a truck or utility vehicle, they need to use it like one!

I'm afraid I get VERY cross if a 4x4 forces me onto the verge on the country lanes....and I'm sorry to say it happens quite a lot. They're really not necessary unless the driver needs to drive off road, or tow. I know the argument is that they're safer than smaller cars - but these days the smaller cars have incredibly high safety rating.
