The Vitex Agnus Castus might be worth a try if you think he might be early or peripheral Cushings. The first of my Cushings ponies used to suffer from bad diahorrea. I so wish that I'd had internet access a few years ago, assuming these things were available then. There are several things here I would have tried if only I had had the chance. I did try Chaste Berry with the last one but it didn't seem to make any difference. The other thing is Founderguard. I know it's hard to get outside the US, but you might be able to talk your vet into it, if you think it might help.

Thanks for this Helen. I will print it off and email Jackie lots to think about. I'm deffiantely going to introduce the Yeo sac. I doubt Founderguard will help Quest because it doesn't appear to be grass induced Lami he gets.

Do you think he has Cushings or peripheral Cushings?

I really don't know! Certainly not Cushings but maybe verging on Peripheral Cushings. The first time he got lami, he was overweight and on too much grass. Since then that hasn't been the case. He is on the skinny side and is on VERY restricted grazing. Things like worming, food upsets and stress seem to trigger it now.
