Is anyone else having troubles getting onto Dales-fans? I've got it in my favorites, but its gotten so sluggish to bring up, that I've resorted to typing in the address up top, and this morning even that didn't work. I had to search for it, and then log in again. I've a nasty feeling our computer's going wonky yet again

I've had a few problems as well. Perhaps Olivia can throw some light?

SOrry guys - I've been at meetings most of the day. THe couple of times I tried to get on there were no problems.
We could start to think about pruning some of the forums (deleting old posts, so the board data base is smaller and faster) - but when they are gone they are gone....

Spring Cleaning's coming soon then. I wish there were someway to archive our old posts, but I can understand the need for pruning. I found it interesting that this morning I did refresh my original favorite's bookmark, and Dales-fans is coming up now. Olivia, can you shed some light on possible options we could look into regarding saving some of the older posts? I'm going to try to save some of my older threads from when Blossom first arrived. I'd hate to lose those.

Does anyone know how to save the threads from here? Now that I've refreshed my bookmark on my favorites, I haven't had any troubles coming on here. Maybe there was something glitching instead??

I'm still having problems on our old computer so I suspect Olivia is right about DF needing pruning soon but it would be a shame to lose some of the threads. I refreshed my bookmark a few weeks ago and it did help until now.... I'll do it again and see if it makes a difference. Strange thing is I have no problems with any other web site.

I'm still having problems but not consistently. It is just as bad on our new big laptop. It could be a BT problem though because the BT Openreach vans have been working here for the last week. Must go and ask them what they are doing...........though it doesn't explain why it is only Dalesfans working so slow for me.

Dales-fans is the only site that's slow for me too. I've only got a tenous grasp on how computers truly work, but its easy to see how a spanner could be thrown in the works at any point. I count it a miracle if I can get the computer up and running in th emonring
