Well, I've got the lurgy! I've had a rash for the last few days all over my arms chest and back. It doesnt itch or smart, and i've seen the doctor who says it is not serious and to take antihistamines which I have been doing, not working yet! So, dont know what it is, dont know when its going, and put up with it was the message. I've only just got over an ear infection too. Its so annoying because I am never ill! It feels better to have a rant

Oh dear, poor you. I often get a rash like that when I'm coming down with a cold or other virus or just had one. I don't think the GP quite believes me but says it isn't anything to worry about.

That's interesting Pam, as I often come out in urticaria if I have a bad viral infection and it sometimes sparks off a spell of angio-odema if it's really bad. I never used to, only since I've developed these allergic reactions over the past couple of years.
I looked it up on the web and when your body produces antibodies (as it does when you are fighting off a virus) it can have this effect if you are prone to it.
Hope you are over the lurgy soon ribbons!

Gill - that's interesting, obviously I'm very prone to it too. I also used to get the rash on day 2 of a particularly heavy period - thankfully don't have to worry about that any more!
