I read in one of the Horse mags that although it is banned from sale you can still make your own up as it is for personal use? [if that makes sense] I suppose if you have stock of the oil and prefer to make up your own then thats OK

I used the recipe from miss moneypenny last year, it really smelled strong and worked a treat. Didn't take a lot of making and I felt I could splash it on allover as it was quite cheap.

I have actually bought the same as I recommended last year and so far I am very impressed. Carr, Day and Martin Fly Repellent (yellow label). Repels midges too. Lovely fine spray and about £9 for a litre which I seem to remember lasted me all Summer last year. ;D

I used the recipe from miss moneypenny last year, it really smelled strong and worked a treat. Richie and I know about this all too well - note to everyone, when adding the fly spray to your garden sprayer, check the lid is on tightly before you pick it up! (Ours wasn't, hit the ground and splashed the two of us in fly spray - we really smelt nice! Although we didn't get any flies near us!) ;D

We're finding the Bog Myrtle essential oil is very good mixed with cold tea and a few drops of lemongrass and rosemary oil - but we havnt had the pagues of midges yet - just a lot of them!
