Fly Rugs that don't rub

It has been confirmed Zoe has sweet itch. It's only mild. I have had her in a shires combination fly rug and it does the trick regarding the rubbing of her mane and tail which is great, but the rug is rubbing on her shoulders. When I put it on it's loose but overnight it seems to pull back. So she has a lovely mane growing under there but is now bald on her shoulders....
She takes a 6ft rug and is broad across the chest. In the winter her fal rug didn't make a mark but of course is expensive. Weatherbeeta were ok but she only wore it when her fal was too wet and the quality was naf.
Any recomendations for a fly rug that won't rub? Trying desperatly not to spend too much......aren't we all?

My friend has her dales in a Riff Raff one. It sees to fit her quite nice and doesnt seem to have rubbed her. This seasons one apparently has been re-designed for the chestier pony as well. May be worth a look. I have seen them on e-bay around the £50/£60 mark I think for a combo. They are called pest vests.

I have D in a mark todd. Great quality - poor fit on him ! It only has one strap at the front, so it seems to slip from side to side on him. When I get my life sorted out I am going to take it and have another strap put on to see if it makes any differance. However, he is going to have to keep it for the moment due to ever limited funding!!! ;D

Personally I think it is worth spending a bit more to get a Boett, Fal or even a Snuggyhood rather than getting several cheaper ones only to find out a week down the line that they are useless. I hate to think how much money I've wasted this way. I did try the Riff Raff one a year or 2 ago but it was not a good fit for a broad chested pony but I guess they have updated them since. Weatherbweeta OK but flimsy, Masta rubbed, Rambo not too bad.
