What do you all find best in this warm weather to wear whilst riding? My favourite winter ones are a pr of mark Todd ones but they are a bit warm to wear now. Any advice welcome

I have nylon lycra endurance ones which stay quite cool, also a pair of legging type ones that are very cool. Light colours too!! I think I got them from Robinsons years ago, and they are still good.

Sammy, that is a good question, my friend and i were only saying the same thing the other day about what jods to get for the summer as ours are soooo hot!
Akehurstannabel- i must confess that i have been known to ride in shorts before but rode bareback as the stirrup leathers pinch your legs...or have you a solution to that, as i do prefer to be in shorts in the hot weather ;D

I still put my half chaps on! Looks a bit bizarre like some kind of lederhosen thing, but quite comfy. Gives you an odd suntan mind! If you get pinched all the way up maybe you could get one of those ride on saddle covers and cut holes for your stirrup leathers out of the bottom? You would have to have a good think about it though safety wise as if the cover slipped might be dangerous. I don't know. You can also make a neoprene tube to put your stirrup leathers in. My friend who does endurance has done this. It might work with bare legs. Good luck!

I've just got a pair of Caldene Three Tech jods and they're cool in this hot weather. Very stretchy so not too much constriction - they wash and dry well too.
