Which protective boots are best? Having just been trodden on by Beau , the lightest of the 3 ponies. I have decided I ought to get a pair of boots with steel in to protect my toes from big heavy feet! Mountain horse protective ones with lace up fronts look quite nice, any one any opinions to help me please. Barbara

I've had 3 pairs now of the mountain horse protective non lace up type. I wear them quite hard but they have lasted about 18 months each. Really comfortable as well. Have never had to break them in! Jo x

You cant beat Mountain Horse in my opinion - once you have worn them in and they have stopped eating your feet that is!! LOL
I have the sports jodhpur boot with the steel toe for showing and they are lovely and comfortable. I am due to upgrade my lace up yard pair as they are now sporting holes, and will upgrade to the steelie lace up version.

I've got some equitector boots. Really good lace boots, waterproof, good for riding in, very comfy, they have a website with all of the different styles not just the horsey ones. www.equitector.co.uk/index.htm?subj=HomeETA I bought some end of line ones - just checked and they still have some left, I think mine were Prairie Master (ok so the name is not that brill but the boots are great)
