or know of anyone who has used one of these? I like to feed hay off the floor but Rosie tends to trample it around and so wastes quite a lot. They seem expensive to buy but if they were labour saving and kept the hay clean then I may get one but obviously don't want to waste money!!

They are really good, I've got them in my three stables and I never have any all over the floor! They also seem tough as the ponies rub their buims on them and they have stayed in shape and haven't broken! Now that's got to be good! Lol!

Would you go for the large or the small size?

Danny had one when he went to stay at my trainers for a fortnight and I loved it. They were the large ones and Danny at 14.2hh had no problems getting to the bottom.
They are on my xmas list for my 2!

I'd go for the pony size as it's plenty big enough unless you have big horses then you'd need the larger ones!

I was considering this too. My main questions are, are they safe to have around foals? Could a pony rub away a mane or tail on them? Also as has already been mentioned, which size to buy for Dales. Barbara
Edited to say, Karen you posted the same time as me and say the pony size is okay.

I'd think they were quite safe to have around foals, no sharp edges or any dangerous bits! Too low to rub tails and manes on, mine haven't found out how to do it anyway! Lol! Go for the pony size definitely!
