I got some of this to try on Bea to see if it makes a difference to the ease of grooming all the mud out of his coat - and it does!!
It's made by Net-tex and is in a spray bottle. I put it on him yesterday before turning out and the mud came off him much easier this morning. I didn't need to use the rubber curry comb, just lightly use a stiff body brush.
If anyone's interested, I'll let you know how long the effects last. It says "up to" seven days on the bottle - which could mean anything! LOL

I'd need 7 days to get the mud off mine before I used the 7 Day Mud Away

LOL Zelda. Bea gets groomed every day, so it's easier to keep on top of, but still a pain when he comes in from the field looking like a hippo LOL.

Yes, do let us know what you think of it after 7 days! I'm tempted to get some if they sell it at Sheepgate on sunday - if we go, that is, now the weather forecast is so bad.

Well, it's certainly very effective overnight, Pam. As Harvs is rugged with a hoodie (LOL - he looks SO fab) you would just need to use it on his legs and tum, maybe, and so the bottle would probably last a while.
I'll certainly keep you updated on how long it stays effective.

I used it last year and found it very good. It made such a difference.

Jacqui - how does it compare to pig oil? For some reason I don't seem to be able to get on with pig oil - it just makes a horrible mess in our wet clay soil.

It's a lot easier to use, Pam. I found the coats stayed sleeker, without being greasy. The mud did brush off easily.

Thanks Jacqui. I hope Sheepgate sell it then. No one locally seems to sell net-tex.

The mud is still coming off easily.
If you can't get any, Pam - I'll bring some over to you if you like - good excuse to visit again LOL

Yep - still working on Bea and I haven't re-sprayed since Wednesday. It isn't QUITE as good now as it was at first, but still not bad going, given the amount of mud he manages to bring in on his legs!

I got 2 bottles of it at Sheepgate today and sprayed Harvey before we turned him out. I really like the feel of the stuff, much nicer than pig oil which I never got on with. Hope it works.

Good, glad you've got some Pam. Hope it works as well on Harvs as it does on Bea. You seem to have a different consistency of mud!! LOL
