I can't believe I'm typing this but I have just had to have my Tyne riders replaced................again! This will be my 6th pair in 2 years! This time the rubber split on the foot bit where the moulding is and they were only 2 months old. The company are very good and keep replacing mine with a new pair. I love them for their comfort but why is it they keep disintegrating on me!

How very strange Pam your horses must have very acidic wee or something lol, do you clean the boots with anything other than just hosing them down?

Zelda, no just plain water! With the first few pairs it was a general manufacturing fault - the rubber was coming unstuck from the neoprene. The latest problem, the spliting at the moulding join, I suspect is another design fault! I had 1 pair which lasts me a year and they split in that same place but that one I put down to fair wear and tear. The others have all had to be replaced for free.

My third pair have just about dropped to bits. The others were replaced by the makers but I am just going to put this pair in the bin I think.( I have worn them between October and March) I do like them but they just don't last very long!

My daughters didn't last long either, the neoprene came away.

I collected my newest Tyne replacements today. This must be at least my 5th "free" pair - I've lost count! These are the latest version and now have a breatheable lining to stop your feet sweating so much. I don't know about that yet but it makes them tons easier to get off.

The new ones really slide off ever so easy and I use a boot jack so I don't have to bend. I know how you feel though - I wanted to chop my ankle off this time last year!
