My non Dales, a Welsh Cob X has mild sweetitch which I can keep at bay with Benzyl Benzoate, but this is getting difficult to get hold of and I have to send OH to get it as I don't want people thinking I have Scabies. (He doesn't know what it's used for in humans and wonders why they come back from behind the counter with it wearing rubber gloves and carrying a flit spray!).
I am thinking of getting him a Boett but am not sure on sizing, as their guide goes by height and rug manufacturers seem to have strange ideas about height related to length.
Do people who have them think that a size 5 would prob. be right for a 14.2 who takes between a 6ft and 6ft 3 in a normal rug, please?
Also, apart from his mane and tail, the area that drives him mad is under his stomach. Does the belly part cover that area fairly well or does it tend to runkle up, in which case I would have to keep using Benzyl anyway?
Does anyone have any experience of the cheaper, Icelandic Horse version?
Any info most gratefully received.

Mickey has a boett- I measured him using their diagram 5 years ago and it fitted fine. Its not just one meaurement its a few so you get a better idea. He's a 15.2 cob who takes 6'3 rugs (although his 6'9 rambo wug fits him well for some reason!!) and has a size 5 boett. It covers his belly well- though I have to make sure the straps stay fairly tight and that it gets shaken out daily!!! Boett brings a new meaning to fur balls. I havent tried the icelandic but if I do decide to replace one (Ive got 2 they are so good) I may try them. My problem when I qualify is going to be not asking anyone who wants benzyl benzoate if they've got a horse  I think hyperdrug.com used to sell it in large containers- cant see it on their website but it may be worth sending them an email if you are wanting some.

Dan has a Boett and I can't remember for the life of me what size it is - I think it is a 5 but it has become rather tight for Dan who is as wide as he is high lol. Dan usually takes a 6' rug (well he did the last time he had one).
The belly part on Dan tends to slide round when he rolls, but again this may be just because he's got rather fat - it would cover the belly okay if it didn't rotate!!
I had to put fleece covers on the leg straps as the edges of the elastic rubbed his thighs, and I also sewed a piece on the belly cover just in front of his sheath.
I'm going to get him another rug and will try the Solva rugs as they seem to have good reports, and are a lot less than the boett.
