Who has a pair of Duberry Galway boots?? Would you recommend them?? What is fitting sizing like?? I have small feet but very big calves, so worried they will not be wide enough.

I haven't got a pair, but last year at the Royal Highland Show I tried a pair on and they were lovely. Wish now I had bought them. Keep saying I will treat myself, but haven't got round to doing so yet!!

I have had a pair of Dubarry boots for nearly four years, not sure if they are the galway ones, but they have been fantastic and are still going strong.

me too. I have the short xwide ones. they are warm and light but wish i had bought a size larger. I bought a size smaller! I found the 1/2 insole uncomfortble. Lovely with insoles but too small!! They are ment to be generous sizewise.

OOOHHH i didn't realise they do x wide and short, that is good news. I emailed them and they said a size 4 1/2 was a 13 inch width calf, i nearly choked there is no way my calf would fit into this. Will ask them about X wide and short, thanks Khristyne.

They do a longish boots called a Tipperary (forgive the spelling). It's not quite as tall as the Galway, but still classed as a long boot and it has a buckle and a hidden elasticated dart for wide calves. I tried it on at the Yorkshire show and they were fab (I have a wide calf). My saddlery is ordering it for me though as they can get them £50.00 cheaper than the price I was quoted at the show.
