Has anyone got or used these? Im thinking of getting some clippers as my friends heavy duty ones are on the way out and my horses dont like them as they are noisy. Any opinions appreciated. Jo x

I know a friend has used these and they were good, another clipper that is good is Avalon battery operated as they are quiet they will clip a good thick coat but they aren't heavy duty. I think they sell about £ 199 but you could always look on ebay.

Me too. Got mine today, have just been charging them in the office seeing as the boss is out. (Maybe you should tackle them for some commission )

I have the Avalon clippers, got them over a year ago and they clip Sooty well. He has a very thick predominantly white coat but they cope really well. They don't get hot and keep going. I find they are perhaps a tiny bit slower than some but otherwise very good. I also use them for dog clipping so they are used most days.

I clipped misty last night! they struggled a little with her tummy but it is VERY thick and we think she was a tiny bit damp. But they didnt offer to stop we just had to go slower, im very impressed and they are so easy to use and ideal for my 2 horses and really quiet with hardly any vibration. Highly recommended especially for a novice or a nervous horse, misty is terrible with my friends heavy duty clippers which are noisy but she stood eating hay and went to sleep when we did her with these. we got them for £169 inc delivery too with free trimmers which are fab for my dogs.

Meant to add, the ceramic coated avalon blades, if you can get them, are way sharper for longer than the normal metal blades.
