His name is Carrick Black Knight and he is out of Walesmoor Emperor. He has the most wonderful temperament and is so laid back for a stallion. Huge amount of bone and he's only three but beautifully put together. He's covered six mares this year and has been very gentle with them. Sue H (breeder of Sunglow ponies) advised us to have Jodie scanned to make sure all her bits are okay and working prior to the big day!
Any advice would be much appreciated as this is the first time we have tried having a baby! Jodie is now twelve and this will be her first foalie if all goes well. Very nervous but excited too!

I am sure he is gorgeous. Walesmoor Emperor, who Molly ran with, has a lovely temperament too.
Fingers crossed for Jodie!!

You are right Karen, it is Carrock. Finger hit the wrong letter! I think I posted about Jodie when we found out she had this ligament problem and the vet said it may keep coming back if she was worked so we decided to retire her but then thought why not try and see if we can put her in foal as she was too young to spend her life doing nothing and as she's only twelve we asked the vet and he said it was a good idea! (should have paused fo breath in that paragraph!) We saw Knight as a yearling at Sues and thought how lovely he was then so he seemed a good choice ! Jodie has a wonderful nature and fantastic movement and with both their different qualities they should hopefully make a lovely baby! Anyway Karen, it's not like you to miss something! You must have been on the gin! Lol! I promise to update you very soon!

Lol! Jo, that made me chuckle!! When we saw him last year he wasn't very chunky but now!! Wow! Never seen legs like it! Gorgeous! It's great as Jodie needs more bone and a bit more height so he'll compliment those bits. They both have wonderful natures so hopefully should be a gorgeous foalie if all goes well! I must stop reading books about breeding as I keep seeing everything that can go wrong and it's making me nervy! Lol!

I missed him last year so saw him for the first time this May, at first I thought he was extra hairy (Ed and Moo don't have a lot of beard) and soo quiet the stable but then when he moved he really showed he is a wow wee look at me and so well behaved with loads of people gawping at him. He is an absolute cracker, I would certainly consider him for Moo should I ever be in the position to put her in foal again.
