At what stage, does the in foal mare, start to change shape and look like she is in foal?

That's a difficult one Barbara. I think it depends on the mare and one will change from the first few weeks, while another will keep everything a secret until very late. Those in foal from the Spring will often be showing now and you can start to see and feel the foal moving.
Have you noticed anything?

Barbara, I think a lot has to do with the make of the mare. My maiden mares are both showing now, but my grey mare showed at 30 days, and looks heavy now. The black mare was "full" in the start but I had thought she looked normal after a few months, now she has exploded!

Thanks all of you, Victoria looked wobbly at 30 days and is looking bigger now at 90 days. Delight is looking like someone elses pony now!!! Not the rib showing, long thin limbed one that came here in June and her tummy is growing. I am not having them scanned again as if they aren't still in foal then it's too late to try again now anyway. I just worry every time I look at them in case something has happened!! Time will tell though. Zelda I am like you watching tums every day. Also watching bottoms for signs of winking!! What a way to spend my time. Barbara
