I wasn't sure if anyone would be interested, but there will be a breeding workshop on getting your mare in foal, hosted by the Rare Breeds Survival Trust and the Shire Horse Society. The workshop will be held on Friday 16th March at the Shire Horse Centre, Sacrewell Farm, Thornhaugh, Peterborough (just of the A1 at the A47 Junction) from 1.30pm to 4pm. Speakers include Graham Ward, horse breeder and show exhibitor, Philip and Ben Ryder Davies, practicing vets specialising in equine fertility and Dr Dawn Teverson, RBST Conservation Officer. Ah well yet again Scotland misses out  Ah but Scotland gets a whole Native Pony day at Oatridge on the 5th May. Depending on what Miss Rose and foalie are doing I may be on the south coast or not. If I'm home I'm hoping to get a last minute ticket and go. |
